Citation Appeal Process

How to Contest a Parking Citation

The registered owner, lessee, or person responsible for the cited vehicle may contest a citation within 21 calendar days of the citation date with a written appeal online using the Citation Processing Center website or by mailing your appeal with any supporting documents to the address noted previously on this page. Submitted documents will not be returned.

Once your appeal has been received, a formal review by Fillmore Sheriff's Department will be completed. After a decision has been made, you will be notified by mail.

If your citation is upheld and dissatisfied with the results of initial review, you can request a second level administrative hearing completed by a Hearing Officer at our Citation Processing Center.
