I am posting here because I have tried going to the city building but have not gotten any results. At my house across from Doris Day park I have city trees screening my back yard. The roots from these trees have gone under the fence and ruined my grass and busted up landscape bordering. It is now going under my cement back patio and is starting to work its way under my foundation. All of this has happen since contacting our city. I have supplied pictures and let the office worker in the planning commission know I could be on hand if anyone wants to inspect these claims. My phone calls and emails have gone unanswered. When I filled out the complaint at city hall I was told the city claims no responsibility but they would still look into it. Over a year later and nothing. Not even a form letter letting me know to leave them alone. So I am posting here in a last ditch effort to see if anyone at the city would be willing to respond to me about this issue. At least explain to me how the city is not responsible for the destruction of my yard and the possible damage to my expensive patio. I am getting ready at my expense to repair the yard and try to make sure the city landscaping can no longer affect my yard. If I do find damage to my patio or worse yet my home foundation I will take some sort of further action. Living in a small town seems to be no different than living in a large city with a lethargic and faceless goverment. Jason
